I am building a new PC and I need some suggestions on a video card, case, monitors and whatever else you can recommend. I think I want 1080p since im not doing much gaming any more and with 1440p I would need to get a 1080 gpu and I think that would be too overkill since I dont play games that often. Whatever suggestions you can give me I would gladly listen.

EDIT:

Budget:

Probably up to ~$2300 including peripherals and everything.

Aim:

I do some gaming but not a whole lot, however I would still like to be able to play on 1080p with great frames. I do some video and photo editing as well as software development and obviously web surfing.

Monitors:

I want 2 monitors. I have thought about going ultrawide but it is just so expensive and I think 2 monitors would probably be more practical.

Peripherals:

I need peripherals as this is a brand new system.

Why am i upgrading:

I need a new system for a new location.

Thanks

What do you do with you PC. Kind of an important point. A 1440p monitor could still be very useful.

Cases, what form factor? What do you want? Color, style, window, etc. These are things we need to know before providing suggestions, as they're personal preference and one isn't necessarily better than the other.

Is it worth it for me to spend $150 more for intel? It sounds so expensive for such a little gap in performance

Your build looks good for what you intend to do.

There's no need to buy a CPU cooler, the one included is good enough.

I'd get the MX300 instead of the SanDisk SSD you've chosen. It's a few dollars cheaper, and 50GB larger.

Other than that it looks like a great build. I'd get a different mouse, but that's more personal preference than anything.

Can you recommend a mouse? I currently have the deathadder 2013 and I like it a lot. I dont like very many gaming mice particularly because of the fact that most of them look like "transformers" for lack of a better word. With the deathadder 2013 I can even turn off the green razer logo so it just looks like a black mouse however its like $200 online for some reason. Also do you have any experience with the keyboard I have selected?

Depends what you're looking for in a mouse. I personally like slightly weightier mice, and the Thermaltake Level 10 M is always the one I'll recommend. I've had mine for years and I absolutely love it. I've tried friends mice, G502, G900, they're also nice but a fair bit lighter. The M65 is also a nice mouse, I imagine the Sabre would be similar.

I strongly, strongly recommend holding off building until Black Friday. We're so close it seems foolish to spend way more than you have to.

While I appreciate the irrational condesendence. He said he would like it to be gaming capable, and if he did not intend on gaming the GTX 1060 would not be included in the spec out. I never said that Ryzen was bad for gaming, if he intends to pair it with a 1060, its probably a perfectly fine choice. I was just bringing one of Linus' more recent videos to your attention. Sorry for my concern.

The stock cooler will get you to 3.8 on ryzen 6 and maybe 4 ghz or 3.9 at a lower voltage with a $50 aio

The 1600 is more than capable of gaming. Since he stated he's not that interested in gaming, why offer irrelevant information? The Intel choice at the same price point would be a massive reduction in multithreaded workloads. You said it wasn't good for gaming compared to Intel, which is simply incorrect.

Here's the video I was referring to, if you have any more issues with the matter, please take them up with someone working at LinusTechTips.

I never said a 1600 is incapable of gaming, and I will continue to question why you claim he is uninterested in gaming if he is planning on buying a 1060.

I never said LTT was the God of information. I sited my source so you could form your own opinion, as all on forums should. If he has said this twice perhaps you should spend less time arguing with me and more time talking him out of overspending on a GPU.

Oh wait... "however I would like the PC to be able to handle 1080p gaming for the odd time I play with some friends."
