Well.... your kinda stuck there. The x2-4200+ is a very old CPU and uses an outdated socket. As a result, the motherboard is also old and uses old standards. You couldn't use any modern GPU, memory, or CPU. I'd just buy a new PC.

The cpu will most likely bottleneck any new gpu you put in there and something like a used 750ti may just be a waste of money.  What's your upgrade budget and could you turn that budget into a new build budget?

EDIT: you'd have to do your own ebay digging because we are not in the same area as you so deals and items for sale will be different.

🙂

Just get something like this.

Really, you can't use your current PC.

Just donate it.

My budget is more to the 80-90$ in total but there are plenty of 40$ gpus out there and than maybe better psu ?

$80-$90 is not going to get you something that will magically extend the gaming lifetime of your pc by 2 years sorry  EDIT: maybe MAYBE a used rx 460 2gb or 750 ti, but that would still be bottlenecked by the 2gb of system ram and the cpu

Really, I'd just save up for a part, and then another part, and then another part. It's the only way that you'll get decent performance.

Honestly, the bare minimum is about $200. It'll play stuff like Minecraft (barley) and it'll turn on.

You can't do any gaming at all on your current computer, even with any $100 upgrade.

You won't get anything with $80.

yeah i agree with them, even a $100 wont do a whole lot if any. the $40 gpu won't be really any faster then your GTX 6200, I would save your money to get something better down the line. because If it is temporary then just wait, don't spend $80 now just to replace it later

That PSU literally is a fire hazard. Spend $10 more and get something that isn't a fire hazard.

yeah the last thing you want to do skip out on is the psu, if that goes then it can take the whole pc with it
