old GPU + no warranty -> it's dead

yup

microwaving it MIGHT help, or it will either kill it instantly. try it if you are able to get a NEW GPU and you dont mind this GPU being sacrificed to maybe work again, or not work again.

You can install your drivers by downloading the latest release. That will be why your games are failing.
