Ok so a few days ago my phone fell on the ground and the inner screen cracked, leaving me unable to do anything, it still powers on but i think the touch is also not working. I tried to get the files off of my phone but i can't cause i have to unlock my phone (i don't have any locking password or anything, i i just need to slide to open it) and then click accept for the connection from phone to PC to work so i can access my files, i tried doing it blindly but it didn't work, thus i think the touch is dead too.

So i am now stuck, i tried to use a program called ''dr.fone toolkit'' but it needs USB Debugging enabled, which i had it before but needed to reset my phone a bit ago so it reset the debugging aswell, so no-go there, the extraction from damaged device won't work either cause it doesn't support the phone.

My phone is the Galaxy S5 Neo (program supports S5 and S5 Duos). So again, no go there.

I am out of ideas, a new screen replacement costs more than the phone so i don't wanna get one if not needed, rather buy a new phone. Anyone have any ideas?

I was thinking of getting a mini-usb to HDMI adapter to see if it'll show anything on a screen and if that screen has touch to see if it'll work with the phone. But idk if i also need usb debugging enabled there :/

My friend had touch break on his phone. He used a mouse via an adapter to navigate the phone. It might be possible to get a display signal out of the phone aswell but I never researched or tried it myself.

Do you have the data on the phone itself? have you taken out the SD-card yet?

But if i plug my phone into a TV how can i then use a mouse since idk if i can connect more than 1 device to the mini USB, or can i w/o needing to do anything on the phone since the display is dead

I just found out that the Neo is a downgraded S5 and does not support MHL, so that's a no go there.

frankly, if the touch doesn't work and you can't innitiate a transfer without some sort of input, i don't see any way to get files off the phone's internal memory without a bootstrap dump transfer.

any cellular dealer would be able to do that for you. a simple transfer from one phone to a new one.
