Gaming pc randomly getting bsod

Go to solution Solved by bluefire908,

Okay guys been a month I guess but it was actually my CPU and I got a replacement for Intel as it was still under warranty and computer runs fine now

I'm really worried right now because it's the first time in like 2 years since I built my pc that it's been giving me problems,I've been randomly getting BSODs with the text KMODE_exception_not_handled ,it doesn't say anything else about the drivers and what's causing it only that line of text then my pc will restart and randomly get another bsod.I tried monitoring temps,CPU usage,and ram usage during gaming,was playing warframe,everything was fine at around 65-70 degrees,60% and 5.5 gigs.

Some quick Google searching says that crash code points to the failure of a driver involving an exception with the kernel. Can you recall updating or installing any new drivers recently? Are you running Windows 10? Because it's notorious for installing or updating hardware drivers without user permission.

Try opening event viewer, it's a core part of windows, from the main screen, on the left side, open "Windows Logs" and select "System" this will show all the errors that have occurred, the source, some info, and can typically figure it out by googling that

I recently installed warframe and I think that's when the crashes started?the game installed a few files,when running it for the first time but that's about it

I play Warframe extensively...no such issue on my end after it's recent updates. Here's some things to look at:

Is Cool n Quiet by chance set on your PC?

Have you monitored temps and clock speeds at all?

New driver update anywhere?

I had a similar issue while testing overclock on my system and when the PC would hit load and get warm I'd get the same error. I know you're not overclocking, but something to look at.

I've also experienced this from MS Visual C++ updates. If you're running a x64 copy of windows, you should have both x86 and x64 versions of the VC++ redistributable up to 2015. Same issue occurred to me when I first started playing Black Ops II

Nuke the windows install from orbit, and do a clean reinstall (or install Gentoo el oh el ?). Then add in the drivers and hardware you need one by one until done and/or the crashing resumes.

if (c->x86_vendor != X86_VENDOR_AMD)

setup_force_cpu_bug(X86_BUG_CPU_INSECURE);

okay so i dont know what happened,i think my computer got posessed or something,images stopped opening,i couldnt open the start menu random ui elements wouldnt show up,keyboard keys didnt work and mouse kept clicking randomly opening apps when i moved the cursor over them,i freaked out and wiped my drive including all my data and games,and did a clean install...everything seems to be fine now though my mouse still occacionllay does that stuck left click think? can a virus affect your mouse? Was it even a virus that a got or is it faulty hardware and something to do with my ram/cpu?

Unlikely it specifically ram/CPU related. CPU runs calculations, ram holds and transfers information for short periods of time. More likely a virus of sorts. Should perform a low-level wipe with Derriks Boot n Nuke (look up Hirens Boot CD) to rid any and all information from the drive. Sounds extreme, people will probably say that but always be paranoid with devices that have internet access. Itll also take quite a while so don't expect to use your PC for maybe a day. Then try and install Windows 10 from a new USB/DVD. Install Malwarebytes after and you should have some minimal protection with it. I don't have a recommended anti-virus software because people still think Norton/McAfee are God's at PC protection. If they only knew. Also I don't use anti-virus. I trust myself enough that if something goes wrong only I'm to blame. Do not follow my example lmfao

As for the mouse clicking, seems like something is contacting the left button. Clean it out with some alcohol.

Could be a faulty HDD too. I updated my post above, but could be irrelevant. Get a new drive

It's time to call the Winchester boys.

Game uninstalled on it's own?

Mouse doing random clicks whenever it wants? Well that could be explained by faulty mouse ... try to use another one, and unplug your current one.

But why would game uninstall on it's own? That doesn't sound every remetely normal.

And clean install of windows didn't fix your problem? What kind of PC virus will stay on HDD once your format it :o

Did you install any pirated software after clean windows install?

Do you have any HDD in your build?

Did you format only SSD and make clean install of windows, but you didn't touch your HDD or any other drive?

It would make sense that you got virus on your 2nd storage device, and you only formated primary storage device, so virus would affect your PC right after windows were loaded.

If that's not the case, I honestly have no idea what could be causing something like this.

If that would happen to me, I would start swaping every single component in my PC, and try to get it back to normal stable state.

Just about every software leaves some kind of trace on your disk. Low level format is a sure-fire way to destroy all data because it rewrites every block on the drive with empty information.

And if you know what youre doing, even "unofficial" releases of software are just fine. Not recommended, but with enough software knowledge...

Lmao, if only you lived close to me I'd give you a damn good deal. I do most simple repairs like this for around $30. You'll probably shell out near or over $100.

Good luck m8

Well Microsoft's site has them all separate. A Google search for Visual C++ will do you. 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2015. I wouldn't bother tho, definitely sounds like a bad or infected drive. Give them a shot anyway if you'd like. I'd still have it looked at if you're not confident enough
