Im currently using a piece Of crap board. Gigabyte z87-hd3. Which actually making my system non overclockable. Im searching a new board. I have always used msi. Without any issue. After looking many reviews, the overall results were that msi gaming board arent that good. Atleast i got that impression. What board performs well with moderate oc? Under 170€.That Gigabyte was my first And last. So no need to suggest any.

they are pretty much the same(in the same price point)

and gigabyte boards are better than msi for oc thats for sure. whats the problem with the board? don`t tell me that it has a locked multiplier and stuff. it may be the cpu or who knows. any z87 board can OC pretty good

I have tested all my parts on a Gigabyte m5 sniper. Game performance was much better. Oc 'd my 4670k to 4.2 ghz. Under load cpu temps were Under 65' c. Didnt crash once. My own board was giving bsod like no tomorrow. With even a 400mhz oc.

Rma your board?

I was thinking of getting the hero or mpower. Only thing that stopped me from buying either one, Is the price. They are both over 200€.

Is this link of any value?

Go and RMA the board anyway.Slap a G3220 in it for other purposes.

For the new motherboard,Z87X-D3H.Have good quality VRMs unlike the HD3.The other boards are overkill.

If you insist on non-gigabyte boards,the Asus Z87-A,MSI Z87-A GD65 Gaming,Asrock Z87 Extreme6,Asrock Z87 Killer.
