Most expensive is not always best.

For example, a $10000 xeon will perform much worse than a $350 7700k in minecraft.

Also you don't get 500fps when there's a ton of entities or block updates, no matter what CPU an GPU you have.

Depends on how minecraft is optimized, if it prefers more cores to higher clock speed then yes, if not then no ofcourse. I would think that minecraft (since its ranndomly generated) is prefering more cores to higher clock speed.

It's completely the opposite.

Only specially coded spigot or minec servers are capable of using more than 4 cores.
