TBH, IDK. Seriously, Minecraft runs pretty weirdly. I'm not sure how multi threaded it is. For GPU, Titan Xp is the best card but 1080Ti is just way better value.

as if you can differetiate between 500fps and 1000fps on a 60hz monitor

The response time would be reduced by 1ms

Also you don't get 500fps when there's a ton of entities or block updates, no matter what CPU an GPU you have.

Depends on how minecraft is optimized, if it prefers more cores to higher clock speed then yes, if not then no ofcourse. I would think that minecraft (since its ranndomly generated) is prefering more cores to higher clock speed.

It's completely the opposite.

Only specially coded spigot or minec servers are capable of using more than 4 cores.
