I will be getting a new processor probably an i7 7700k or similar tier of next gen,
GPU- assus strix 1070 OC
Ram- 2 sticks of ripjaws 5 8 gigs each.
Storage - 3x 7200RPM HDDs
                1x SSD

5x 120mm LED fan.
Corsair hydro 110i gtx

What should be the optimal power of my PSU?
I already have an Antec True power classic 650W lying around. Will this do or should i get something with more juice?

Yeah the TPC will work for now. 650W is a bit more than double what your system will actually demand.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

That build will use under 450w full load, a bigger concern would be the quality of the PSU more than pure wattage.

is the Antec True power classic good enough?its a tier 2 psu as far as i know.

i also have an option to take the Bitfenix whisper 750 watt into the system.

Depending on if you OC probably 450-500 is fine if you're OCing.  I feel like that build would probably use under 400 if not OCing.

Yes i WILL OC as far as the AIO would take me.

The reason i posted here is because the cooler master PSU power calculator was showing 750 watt power consumption for the build :/

my 1080ti 7700k build uses approx 400-500w under max loads and im using a rm750x, some may call it "overkill psu" but i like a bit of headroom if i do go the extreme route [aka OCing].

i doubt a 1070 system will suck up at least 750w... if ur purchasing a newer psu, make sure its at least rated 80+ Gold. Would fit the bill nicely for most in terms of efficiency which matters in long run*
