is overclocking a cpu that is already streaming a good idea?

cuz streaming adds the temps in general, so would an extra overclock fk it temp up?

btw im using ryzen 1700(ik that i dont need to oc it for streaming) and im also using its stock cooler aka the wraith spire

when you OC, you test the commputer running at 100% CPU stable, so you will be safe.

it won't use more than 100% total no matter how much extra you have running..
but get a better cooler before you start

Have you tried to perform a sudden temporary interrupt of the electricity flow to your computational device followed by a re-initialization procedure of the central processing unit and associated components?

i do agree with you.. that i would need a better cooler for sure..

but im kinda off my budget already, so cant do that..

but would the stock cooler be enough for a good 3.4 ghz overclock while streaming too?

never overclocked, watch some tuts tho.. so dont laugh at me if i seem like an idiot..

everybody has to start somewhere ;)

i would hold off until you get a better cooler.. i heard that ryzen runs pretty toasty even at stock speeds.. but search around to see what people say about OC'ing on the wraith cooler, i might be wrong

Nope, the stock cooler that comes with the 1700 is perfectly adequate for overclocks of around 3.7GHz :) (I did it, 65C max Aida so...good enough?)

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Yes, overclocking raises temperature. As long as you are within safe temp you are good.
