Ryzen Pins..

so i decided to go with the ryzen series as for my cpu, the 1700 to be specific. 

but as u all know it has these tiny little fkers that we all hate that are called Pins(no im not an idiot, i know that u HAVE to have those on the cpu or the mobo, in the mean time.. who knows.. maybe we wont have pins at all in the future, god im waiting for that to come..)

anyways.. , what are the chances of actually binding these tiny little fkers? and is it easy to bend them? and what advice can you give so i can place the cpu withoot binding a little fker

The easiest way to not bend the pins would be to minimize the time they're spent uncovered. Keep the chip in the socket where the pins will be protected, or the plastic casing the chip ships in.

If you wanted to bend them you could easily but as long as you're careful you'll be fine

Bending pins on the CPU? Use a credit card, pick, or needle. Super easy. 

Bending pins on the motherboard? Electron microscope and scalpel Magnifying glass and needle. Good luck with that sh#t.

i agree and respect that suggestion, i already knew that tho, but like.. do you have an advice for like placing the cpu, should i drop with force or without force, should i wiggle or not wiggle etc..

no force, wiggle it a little bit horizontally by pushing with 1 finger and then don't touch it, when you put the retention clip in place the CPU should be flat and even on all sides

Just put it straight in. On the mobo there's little holes for where the pins go so you don't really have any risk of bending pins as long as you line it up and don't use excessive force if it's not going in.

dont touch the pins, and it should just drop into place without a problem.

give it a tiny wiggle once its in to make sure its seated nicely, then drop the retention arm and push it into place.

 

its that easy
