both those cards will rock those 3 monitors no problem, but with the 1080ti youll get a BIG boost in performance, although id reccomend a 1440p ultrawide high refresh rate monitor

I agree, a single 2k ultrawide monitor would be a great alternative to runniing 3 1080p screens. But, it could be personal preference. I would say if you havent tested or seen say.. a 30" 2k ultrawide monitor in person, definately check one out before coming to a final decision. If going with 2k widescreen, do the 1080TI, if going with 3x 1080p, the 1080 should do just fine for the FPS range your looking for if not a bit better, and is a cheaper alternative, But if you want it to last a much longer time and can afford it, still go with the TI, and dont worry about upgrading for a good long while knowing you have more than enough horsepower.

Hello, I'm about to buy a new graphics card. I thought I should wait for Volta since I heard it will most likely be available in the beginning of next year. I usually upgrade in 3-4 years. So is it worth it to buy a pascal card now? If so should I consider 1080 if I can get one for ~470 USD (which is around 40% cheaper where I live) or should I safe a little more for 1080ti (~900 USD). I'm currently using a single 1080p, but I plan to purchase 3 curved 1080p screens. I do play games from time to time and I'm really pumped for Final Fantasy XV coming on PC next year, so being able to play it in surround at high settings at around 50-60fps would be good!

Well since nVidia is saying Volta is going to be further delayed beyond Q1 2018 with no actual dead line any more due to lack of better offering in the market and Pascal is still the best purchase he'll be waiting for Volta even longer than the FFXV PC port, going 1080ti right now still is the best go.

Thank you everyone! I will definitely check some ultra wide monitors before finalizing my decision. As for the card, since the Volta lineup seems to be delayed, I guess I'll grab a 1080ti. :)

I doubt we will see much progression in resolution for now [frames per second aside], 1440p is the sweet spot for most people who desire a high frame rate gameplay... be it ultrawide or standard wide... imo u cant really go wrong, they are sorta expensive [standard wide1000aud // 1700aud ultrawide] but they will have a long lifespan due to the calibre combination of Resolution and high frame rate allowing for smooth gameplay.

imo as far as im concerned, the diff between 100hz and 144hz is almost hard to tell for me. they look almost the same, just that freakin smooth... so take ur pick. 27" 1440p or 34" 1440p ultrawides :) either monitor should have no problem with a 1080ti as u mentioned getting above. its just up to you now.

1080ti performance is pretty significant, 30+ frames on some games with my Acer x34. My pick is the 1080ti if you can afford it.
