M.2 and NVMe SSDs are slightly faster - but not worth their extra cost (from what I know) for a "standard" gaming rig.

M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD if you're an enthusiast and can afford it, 2.5" SATA SSD for everyone else.

I mean there are quite a few 240GB affordable M.2 NVMe PCIe ssds out there (e.g. Samsung 960 EVO NVMe M.2 250GB)
