So i really dont know where to put this since there isnt a deticated "DIY" section on the workbench.

So is it safe to buy a used makita impact driver from ebay/ss.com?

I'd probably look on Kijiji/Craigslist first. Find a local that's selling. That way you can physically examine and test the driver before you buy it.

But buying from a highly rated seller on eBay is usually pretty safe.

I've had a few and my dewalt has been put through the ringer and back. They also back there products to see if they have the receipt or warranty info.

I bought one and had the bit get stuck in the driver. No one could get it out not even at home depot. So home depot gave me market value for it new.
