DDR2 Question

I checked the prices for used DDR2 memory and many sellers put "only for AMD motherboards" or something along those lines in their offerings. Can someone explain me why this is the case?

Because they don't know better. Some OEM's do lock down their available replacements for some reason.

should work with any board AFAIK

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is ~~play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally)~~ ~~watch YT and write essays...~~ nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...
