Hello!

 

Let me quickly disclose that JDE if you are reading this it is not for me it is for a friend! 

 

Ok so my friend wants a budget gaming pc under $515. I didn't know if i should get him a pentium or a ryzen 3. He wants a GTX 1050 Ti or just 1050. He wants to play game medium to high like newer titles on steam 

 

I believe that the Pentium will bottleneck the GPU but will the Ryzen 3 do that to for his build?

He just said " As long as it can game above 50 FPS he good i told him that ill build a ryzen since later for his birthday or christmas he can change to a 5 or 7!

Does he care if it has used parts. You can often get better price to performance with used pats. This is especially true in the current GPU apocalypse, but even used cpus can be better price to performance. I got my current i7 4770 with a motherboard, 12gb of ram, phenom case, and evga psu for 120$. And that was back in 2015. I would defiantly recommend going used at your price point. I would start with craigslist, and local used shops and thrift stores, than move on to sites like ebay.

Assuming you can do the mail in rebate this should end up around $515 ish after taxes. I know B&H doesn't charge for tax unless you live in New York.
