get a ryzen 1600 instead of the 6600k(and don't pair the 6600k with a h270 motherboard). you're from the US?

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

don't get a overclock-able cpu with a motherboard that doesn't support it.

is it better the ryzen 1600? i really don't know too much about amd

the 1600 has much better minimum FPS in games which will make your gameplay much smoother and destroys the 6600k in multitasking.

it is going to be cheaper generally but idk about pricing where you are. they preform about equal with the 1600 usually having better minimums resulting a better gaming experience.

I would spend all the budget on Z170/Z270 mobo, a 1080 and 8gb RAM. Maybe upgrade the PSU if there's spare budget left.

Coffee Lake is around the corner, so you can find good deals on used mobo, or even unlocked i7s that fit the budget in good shape.
