yeah it'll be fine... games that get the most benefit from it like CS:GO are quite easy to run. I get like 250 fps on cs on max settings with a 970.

Depends the resolution but aside from getting a 1080ti instead there isn't much more you can do to push further more frames per second to justify 240hz

depends on the game, any esports game you should be fine at atleast 1440p maxed out. 

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...
