I need help. I am currently in high school, unemployed, and panicking. I went to build my first pc with a friend, and to my horror, it will not post. I sent the ram back thinking it could be faulty hoping to solve the issue but after I sent the ram back to new egg I did more research on why i was getting no post and a red cpu light. I found out I may need to put a ryzen 7 into my tomohawk b350 as opposed to the 5 I was hoping to use. The only way to solve the problem is by returning a component, The motherboard is a Am4 board. It will not support any intel chip, only Ryzen. So you either have to return the board or the chip and get another.

I have a ryzen 5 1600, not an intel chip
