I want to try patching my own network cable. The price for CAT6 compared to CAT5e is pretty similar where I live, so I might as well get CAT6.

I also know the thicker the strands, the better. I have seen some 23, 24, and 26awg but will most likely avoid 26awg. I'm not even sure if that is normal for CAT6, but that's what the retailer says.

I found several CAT6 cables in 100m for different prices. I'm confused about what I should get. What is the difference between "Like TP-45", "Like TP-46", and "Like TP-58"?
Also, does: U/UTP, S/FTP, F/UTP, and "crossed" matter?

The links I found from the same retailer offering CAT6 in 100m.
Option 1

Option 2

Option 3

Option 4

Option 5

Option 6

This is a Norwegian retailer, but hopefully the specs will make sense.

EDIT: I should state that this is for home use. A normal sized house with 2 floors. I got a 160/160mbps connection at the moment

You can make that decision after reviewing: http://www.belden.com/blog/datacenters/STP-UTP-FTP-Cable-More-7-Types-When-to-Use-Them.cfm

As long as you don't get a U/UTP, which is completely unshielded, I don't think it matters for your application.

Thank you. So you would avoid U/UTP and go with one of the other and pay just a little more for a better performance? Seems fair enough. Will be less crosstalk.
