CPU Cooler

i have a micro atx msi h81m-e33 mother board (pictured below)

i want to get the DeepCool CPU Cooler FROSTWIN V2.0 as it is on sale on amazon

i think it will fit fine but i dont want it to be to large and intersect the side of my case

anyone have any insight?

If you mean the Elite 130 in your sig, the case only has a 65mm of clearance for the cpu cooler which isn't enough for the 150mm tall Frostwin 2.0

Why are you looking for a new cooler?

Hm, Cryorig C7 or Noctua NH-L9i are very capable low form-factor coolers.

i got a new case today and forgot to upgrade my sig LOL. i got a mastercase 3.1 lite so vertical clearance is less of an issue

i like it, $35, replaced my 212x and it is slightly better than a 212x

if you have anything near a 212 evo and are paying >$30 or so for one, not worth.

frostwin is terrible for being quiet in idle. i have it plugged into a case fan header to keep it from going VRRRR in idle and 5% load

i would go with the bequiet if i wasnt leaving for college in a few days. unfortunately it is more expensive on amazon and i have prime so ill have the other one sooner. thank you for the suggestion though

I'm pretty sure Frostwin would block 1st PCIe slot on ATX mobo. So no-go with anything that has full PCIe as 1st slot.
