I have two friends who got into the beta and neither are very happy both say they would rather play skyrim.

I think the subscription fee is fine but the 60 dollars when you buy it, is ridiculous

I pre-ordered Final Fantasy A Realm Reborn CE and still have my sub going. It's no different than those who play WoW.

It's still really glitchy but fun, needs a lot fo work still though. The annoying part about the beta is the email address you registered with is just spammed all over the screen.

i don't like a lot of things about it. I was super duper hyped back in February but after seeing some game play and the decisions they're making with regards to the game, i feel like they're ruining it. btw i don't care about prices i'm going to play the crap out of that game lol

I am hyped to the MAX. I don't care about any costs since it's gonna be worth it in my opinion.

I mean come on. We're finally given the opportunity to explore all of tamriel!

Im a bit miffed about not getting into the beta.. but i'll be patient for a while longer.

1. I don't believe in monthly payments for video games.

2. The game felt just like Guild Wars 2, and I already have GW2, so there's no point buying it and then paying monthly for practically an altered experience.

3. It didn't feel like an Elder Scrolls game, it felt like all the other MMO's out there, even the F2P ones. Hell, all MMO's feel the same.

 

I have no idea why anyone is excited for this, it's just an Elder Scrolls themed MMO with monthly payments that feels nothing like an Elder Scrolls game.

At first they said " there are no raids.. This is not wow". Then later they said.. " of course there are raids!". So confuzled... I don't know what this game is.

I'm not any more though. No way is any single game worth $240 for the first year of play and $180 every year after - and that is not including the microtransaction content they have long ago confirmed will be in the game.

Downright greedy. Full retail price, expensive monthly subscription cost and microtransaction content. I cannot fathom any way that the game could be good enough to justify such an investment.

I played the beta and well its an mmo. Elder scrolls lore and whatnot but everything else is like an mmo. If you like mmo's you may enjoy ESO but I certainly did not.

i'll try it, but i've tried out ever major MMO in the last like 6 years and the only one other than WoW that impressed me is Warhammer online other than that the rest of them have just been kinda droll. I liked ToR for a bit but had the same problem everyone else did with the lack of end game updates for 7 MONTHS AFTER LAUNCH. And guild wars 2 was just a rehash everything warhammer online did but with less interesting lore. 

 

I've played quite a bit of the ESO beta and it's just kinda alright IMO. The combat isn't as good as the normal elder scrolls games which is surprising considering the combat in those games isn't that complex to begin with. The gameplay just feels kinda samish it's just not enough to tear me away from WoW. And criticize WoW all you want for having pandas or a players with no lifes yadda yadda yadda but what it definitely has is A LOT of content and the world is refined and flushed out.

 

A game has to do A LOT to separate itself from WoW and from what I played ESO is not that game sadly. The only people I see being interested in this are people who love the ES series, which i know is a lot of people. But most of those people will be put off by the price tag and the fee : /

 

 TL:DR not that different, feels like a shitty elder scrolls game with more people, and you might as well play WoW if you already are or are looking to get into MMOs :I
