Less chance of an aircooler failing than a watercooler.

plus with an air cooler, you don't have to stress if there's some leak with a water cooler.

Just the thought stressed me now... damn, they have a chance of leaking really... ouch.  Here I thought I was doing good if I went water cooled.

cheap corsair ones don't count as water coolers, I'd call them spare fish tank parts

If you go with a really good model like a Kraken X62 you'd be fine, but they're really only for serious overclocking.

yeah, either go for a high end air cooling solution or go straight to 240mm AIOs. Only custom loops leak.

AIOs do have a limited life span though, air coolers don't.

Not really. They can leak but it is very rare. Its nothing to worry about.

That's not true.

Single fan AIOs are overpriced trash. If you're getting an AIO, get at least 240mm. 280/360mm if you can manage. For a 7700k, either get a high end air cooler or a nice AIO.

Okay, yeah. I looked more and more into the watercoolers - I just cant do it with overclocking lol.

So I finally decided

be quiet! DARK ROCK 3 SilentWings CPU Cooler 190W TDP

and for the PSU  -

Corsair RMx Series RM550x, 550W fully modular Power Supply, 80+gold

Will this be sufficient power supply. I like the whole moduler set up.

What case are you going to be using ?

Also the new cpu's from Intel (Coffee Lake) are supposedly being launched on Monday 21st Aug. I would have waited another week to see what pricing is like.
