My New Ryzen Build - How Is It?

Just ordered a new computer and wanted to get some opinions on it. I had the 780Ti already as it still performs extremely well and no need for me to upgrade yet. As for the rest of the computer, let me know. Also sceptical of installing the NVME SSD, I don't need any extra parts for that to work no? Should just connect straight to motherboard slot?

A 780 Ti?

MSI motherboards have documented issues with memory compatibility. Your 3000MHz RAM is likely Hynix memory, so keep in the back of your mind that 2933MHz is not a sure thing.

Otherwise, aside from the lack of bulk storage (intentional?), it looks solid.

We'll see how the memory goes. As for storage, forgot to add the HDD on pc part picker. Updated now :)

MSI Ryzen boards are pretty crappy.

long POST times, and kinda meh overall. seems like they didn't invest much into AM4.

Maybe Asrock, or ASUS, or Gigabyte.

second, a 128GB SSD seems a bit small, and personally, I'd rather have a 250GB SATA SSD over a 128GB NVME. you really can't notice the difference unless you are doing something really storage demanding.

i believe the 3000Mhz is hynix, and the 3200Mhz is samsung B-die.

however, with the latest bios updates, it doesnt matter nearly as much

I was going to say something similar. When ASRock has a better rep and the ASRock - AB350M Pro4 Micro ATX AM4  was a little cheaper anyway with solid reviews.

I already have everything ordered unfortunately. I chose the MSI board simple because I wanted a red theme as it's my first time running AMD in a few years and wanted to portray to red feel. Hope it does fine, unless I notice anything I will keep it, otherwise return it and buy a gigabyte or as rock board.

It's fine.

Just that POST times are slower.

I'd invest an extra couple pounds in a Supernova G3 instead.
