Asus - Z170 PR

Asus - Z170 PRO GAMING ATX LGA1151 Motherboard is a better choice, however, yours would work

Spend more on the power supply. I hate when people cheap out on the one component that every other component is plugged into. it was a problem 15 years ago that still happens today

You should edit the title as many people would think fast as in fast performance not order fast

Also state your use case.

I suppose it'll always be a persistent problem when you have people new to computer building. you can't fix stupid. I'll have to get over that.

Seasonic makes some of the best and most dependent power supplies on the market. Just because the power supply isn't 100$ doesn't mean its bad. That power supply is 75$ normally, and is actually a tier II supply. I totally get your argument, I'd make the same in most cases, but not on that seasonic.

http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story5&reid=185 reviews the non-modular version of the psu. While the design is a little dated, the M12II is a solid, quality line of psu.

Drop the extra fans. They are not needed as the case comes with two and the H100i adds another two.

Put the savings into a 250GB ssd. Western Digital - Blue 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive is a decent choice.

If you can, get faster and more memory. 2x8GB would be great. DDR4-2400 CL15 would be the lowest I would consider. Corsair - Vengeance LPX 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2800 Memory is better and around the same price. G.Skill - Ripjaws 4 Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory would be even better if it could be fit in the budget.

If you need to save a bit more, consider SeaSonic - S12II 520W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply instead of the modular version.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
