cpu/gpu choice

i3 7100 + gtx 1050ti or i3 7100 + gtx 1060 3gb (galax or any mini) , the price difference is around 72$, does it worth?
2nd question: i5 4460 + gtx 1050ti or i3 7100 + gtx 1050ti, the price difference is around 50$
3rd question: i3 7100 + gtx 1060 3gb or used old gen i5 (maybe i can find 4th gen) + 1060 3gb, price difference is around 16$
4rd question: i3 7100 + 1050 ti or i5 (used old gen) + 1050ti , price difference is around 16$

im just kinda confused between the dual core and the quad core, saw many youtube videos showing that the difference betwen i3 7100 and any of the i5 mentioned is around 2~8fps. while the i3 7100 beats i5 4430 in a video by 5fps.

but get confused when i think about the cores number. hope you help me.

If you just want to game, you want to find out whch has the best single core performace as not many games are 64bit... yet.

If you want to do more than game cores all the way!

Intel Xeon X5650 OC'd to 4Ghz  Sapphire R9 290 Vapor X 4GB  |  Vengeance® K70 & M65  W10 Pro

ye gaming and maybe some browsing, and i found that the i3 has better single core performance, but im scared about reaching 100% while gaming so i will get fps drops which makes an annoying lag, or that wont happen even with the 1060 3gb ?

Theres many other things you need to think about as its not just CPU and GPU that counts, for examplle if you want to game at 4K all the above are going to suck so i cant give you a simple answer, but logically if it has the better single core perforance pinning it at 100% your going to get better FPS than a worse performing single core chip hitting 100%

Depends on the games you play. Some games require more than 3GB VRAM which in this case, the 1050TI is better
Don't get i3 or i5. Find a good deal on used i5/i7+Haswell mobo or go for G4560/G4600/Ryzen 3/Ryzen 5.

Edit: i3 can reach a higher FPS due to higher clock speed, however it has a worse average FPS

i would have thought all of the above will deliver that some AAA titles may not give you 60fps in ultra though
