Can anyone tell me the alternatives for a Technicolour TG588V V2 firmware?

Ah, unfortunately I don't think that's possible as I can't find anything for that model

Thats a modem/router combo. I highly doubt any 3rd party firmware will work. To my understanding your provider will provide firmware updates as needed. I dont think you can just flash the router side, Not sure how that works. DDWRT has a list of supported devices on the site, if you interested in taking a look.
