Hi guys !

So, to be fast and short, I'm going to massively upgrade my computer, but the thing is, I'm not quite sure how much power my power supply has to be in order to run the whole thing, so, here's what I'm going for :

MB : ASUS MAXIMUS IX Hero

CPU : i7 7700K

GPU : AORUS GTX 1080ti Xtreme 11g (or maybe just a simple Gigabyte GTX 1080 G1 8G, I'm not sure yet)

RAM : 4x8 Ballistix Sport LT DDR4 2400Mhz

2 1To Seagate Barracuda HDDs

1 250gb Samsung SSD

1 Asus blu-ray optical drive

Watercooling : Corsair CW-9060027-WW Hydro Series H115i 280mm

At the moment, I'm using a Corsair CP-9020097-EU VS Series 550W (I highly doubt it will still be enough for the upgrade, but hey, hope is good I've heard) for power supply.

And voila, I don't think I've missed anything important (if so, tell me). Looking forward for your responses, and have a nice day !

I'd go for a 550W or 600W the one you have is enough but the quality isn't great. I'd get something of better quality if you have some more cash to spend. An EVGA G3 or G2 unit are my main recommendations

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Don't use a Corsair VS PSU for a GTX1080 Ti. I wouldn't even use one of those for a GTX 1060. They are low quality PSUs. I would recommend something like an EVGA Supernova G3.

The power supply is technically powerful enough, with 504W on 12V. However, the PSU is bottom of the barrel crap, and since you're getting $1500 worth of parts, you can definitely afford a decent PSU.

Use this as a reference. Get a tier 1 unit, 650W

You might consider going with a 2x16GB memory kit instead of 4x8GB. This will leave two memory slots free for upgrading.

550W should be enough for the build. But I would suggest that you consider getting a newer 80+ Bronze or 80+ Gold rated psu.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

Well, the thing is that I already got 2x8go on my current PC, so It would be cheaper for me to just by another set of 2 than buying a brand new kit.
