Bitstream DTS VS linear VS Bitstream Dolby

I didn't know what exact forum this should be in. But I have a playstation 4 Pro, I know boo most powerful console out right now sorry PC masters, and in the audio output I was wondering if I should have Dolby audio on. The game I play has Dolby audio...? I wanted more of a surround audio feel.

My opinion is if you're gonna get a PS4 now, you might as well just get a Pro.

Well I use headphones because I'm a school student so having peace and quiet isn't possible. I use HyperX clouds. It says they're Hi-Fi which is what the game is set too? I didn't know if changing this would make a difference. 

 

Edit: also the Playstation 4 pro is a must. Yes it's more expensive but it's just more powerful

Just remember that "virtual Surround Sound" for headphones is often a gimmick.

 

Headphones have 2 speakers. You have 2 ears. Properly mastered stereo sound from a game (in particular) will sound perfectly surrounding.

 

But I would just compare the two settings against one another. Then choose whichever one you think sounds better.

 

Make sure to compare across a wide variety of activities and game types, to ensure that you have a good selection of things you listen to on the console.
