Samsung Data Migration Help

Should I allocate my new SSD before doing the data migration? If I do and I give it a drive letter, how will I be able to make it a C:// drive to boot my PC on it afterwards?

You should be doing a clean install on a new SSD, not cloning or migrating.

So you've never had any windows updates fail, programs function strangely or not at all, or any critical errors in windows event viewer?

Cloning done. PC boots and loads insanely quickly. No problems. All programs work and all files are present.

Looks good. You probably used some software that didn't work well. I've used Samsung data migration many times and never have I gotten an issue.
