weird contrast/ brightness issue

Hey, i have posted this a while ago, but i got no answer...
I have an Acer XB271HUA, and when i watch any videos i get some squares where the vids get grayer/brighter. If anyone can tell me how to solve this it would be grat, as right now i can't watch any videos because these super annoying squares are there.. and in some cases the whole screen just becomes nearly black and white..
in the attached image there is a screenshot that shows it. Sometimes it's hard to see while other times it's easy. Here you have something in the middleUntitled.thumb.png.afbb1686861584087ce65a6358fbb0a1.png

I would definitely try and refrain from double posting....just because you repost something doesn't mean you are going to get more replies.

If your so certain it's not a hardware issue just reinstall Windows and see if the issue persists, or change video applications (VLC works great).

honestly I see nothing wrong in that image. I see a figure standing in the shot but no random squares like you indicated in the post.

look at the watermark, and you can see a line, and then further up there's a line where it gets brighter

oh ok I got what you mean now I thought it was done purposely to highlight the issue or something does it do that throughout the entire system or only when playing videos through video players like vnc or does it extend to youtube as well as video players like vnc?

It's only when i'm playing videos, in vlc and popcorntime the image becomes very grey/dull. On youtube it becomes like the image i sent, and on FB it also does it, pretty similarly to what happens on youtube.. I've tried to fix this for ages, but i just can't figure it out.
if the video i'm playing is primarily on my other screen it looks fine on both, but if it's primarily on my acer monitor it gets this dull... Primarily as in over half ways over the "split"

did you happen to do any kind of upgrades to the system before it started like maybe a new graphics card or swap your display cable out for a different one?

if you have an old driver it might not be supporting the graphics resolution for the monitors properly with the other one having been added in. you could also try telling the system from within the display settings to use the resolution that it identifies as recommended to see if it makes your experience any better.
