Can you crossfire RX580 with VEGA 56 when it comes out?

Go to solution Solved by Purgent,

If it works, and that's a big "if", the VEGA card would not run any faster than the RX580 as a consequence of Crossfire.

blocked? how is that possible? is it because of the motherboard?

So if I don't plan to use SLi or crossfire, should I just buy B350 ATX? they still have 2 PCIe

It's at the bottom of the mobo and my case doesn't have an extra lower pcie slot for a gpu (dual slot gpu) so I can't use it for that. (Also fans take up the spot)

As for b350 it's fine, get a decent one and you are gtg.

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

So for example I have:

1. RX 580

2. Vega 56

both plugged on to the motherboard.

I only plug my monitor to the RX 580. and no monitor is plugged to the Vega 56. I can still use the Vega 56 as a rendering machine? for example mining? even to play games?

not to play games, but you can render with it and mine. well, you can play specific dx12 games, but thats it
