1070 or 1080

Hello I am gaming on 1080p 144hz monitor i currently have Intel core i5 6600K and I would like a graphics card that would handle games at high - ultra setting at preferably 144fps and I would like it to last atleast 3-5 years. Which is a better option a 1070 or 1080 card?

Price-wise, the 1080 is a much better deal atm because on mining; however, you'd only need a 1070. I'd wait for the price to drop down and choose the 1070.

id get a used 1080 and a used 7700K with your cash tbh. out of the two the 1070 is all you need but the 1080 will last you longer, both will be bottlenecked by your CPU though

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...
