Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you guys know a screen sharing software, same as skype, just better, faster. I would like to see some movies with other people in a discord/skype call...

Many thanks, Bruno.

It completely fine for me, are you trying to play video over screen sharing? If not, it actually ok.

Maybe try plex? I have setup and server and shared my content with 20+ family and friends(remote connection), but you need a strong upload speed. Also it add cool cover arts and info and other extra video (plex pass).

I've had this dilemma as well. One way I figured was to stream it via AceStream and have the audio coming out of another driver other then my headphones.

That would look terrible, you'd be better off just transferring them the file and doing a voice/video chat beside it if you want to communicate and also so you all start playing in sync. That said, if they don't own the movie already, I don't think that would be legal, but then, screen sharing would probably be just as bad.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

we tried that a few times, it kinda works, but it would be better if we were 100% synced.

Perhaps instead of looking exclusively at screensharing, we need to go "outside the box" and think of all ways one PC can broadcast a live feed to others.  I wonder if you could do it through YouTube or Twitch?  Obviously you'd need to make sure it's restricted to just your friends or there would for sure be legal issues.
