Hi! I just bought a GTX 980 Reference for a 170$, and I am thinking about buying a second one not so long from now. Will my EVGA Supernova 850W B2 be enough to power both of them in SLI with my new Ryzen 5 1600?

yes plenty, a way for u to find out in the future is to use pc part picker .com and then find the total wattage then divide by 80 and them times by 100 then find a PSU with that wattage

Yes 850w is enough for my Titans so it'll be more than plenty for 980's

Out of curiosity and as a person of science, do you have a source on this? Or is this just a general rule of thumb?

Yes it would be enough.

First off, do you have an X370 motherboard to put them together in SLI?

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
