Laser Cutting Side Panel

Hello all,

 

I was thinking about cutting a large square out of my pc case's side panel. My school's DT department has a laser cutter and I could most likely get the cut done to near free. I was wondering any consequences or potential risks which could cause issue. How easily is it done and should I do it? I don't own a cutting saw or anything so I couldn't do it myself

It can be done fairly easily and without much risking anything, other than time and money ;)
