Hard drive shown as Foreign

I just install Windows 8. I have 2 hard drives 1 for os and one for mass storage. i cant seem to find it on Disk Manager, Iv used Command propmt to find it and status appears foreign and when i try to assign it a letter i it says argument specified are not valid. Any suggestions to fix this? Im ok with formating it
