No it's not normal that your PC just shutdown sometimes ...

and that CPU shouldn't overheat, since it's soldered. It's also locked and can't be OCed, so temps should be below 60°C all the time if I'm not mistaken.

 

I had i5 2400 which is around the same CPU, and it never went over 55°C.

 

Check your TIM, replace it, or buy another cooler.

70C is a safe temperature for those CPUs, even if it is a high one for stock speeds.

 

Maybe the thermal paste isn't doing the job anymore and needs replacing.

 

The PC shutting down could indicate that the power supply is wearing out and losing its maximum power delivery.
