How Durable are the HTC Vive Controllers?

I got my vive about 1 month ago and I love it to death. But me, and i'm sure many other VR owners, experience often collisions with furniture and walls in some of our VR sessions. I myself am particularly paranoid about even the lightest thrust of my controller into the wall. I'm just curious, how hard do i need to actually hit my controller before it breaks?

And if I do hit it hard enough, will tracking become less accurate or will it stop tracking all together?

Pretty damn hard to break them unless you toss them like Hercules. I think I've tossed them down like hot potatoes when I played a horror game. I do recommend using the wrist straps.

Well, today I was playing Arizona Sunshine and i went to grab some ammo from the cabinet (at a decent speed), only for my controller to be greeted by my desk in real life. I wouldn't go swinging as hard as I'd swing (for example) a real life weapon or anything. But a scenario like I just listed, would I be okay?

I found them pretty hilarious at first, seeing them after the wii and all. I've baby'd my vive so much though that I always make sure I put them on before play :)

I threw my phone on a bad cs:go day, good thing I had a screen protector but some of the front part got lifted a bit, leading me to spend 80 eur on a new screen some weeks ago :\

I have a gash in my ceiling from the clvive controller. The controller is fine but I did have a rubbery cover on it.

He punched the ceiling pretty dang hard lol
