When trying to download something on forum, you get an error if you're not logged in

If you try to download a file from a post, it brings you to an error page with error "2C171/1". The cause of this error is that you are not logged in, but the website never communicates this to you so you have no idea why its refusing to let you download the file. Probably a good thing to make the message to the end user more helpful especially considering someone coming to the forum trying to find something like a motherboard layout pattern would be confused on why they can't download the files.

That's never happened to me, and I just downloaded something earlier.

Main System: Phobos

happened to me on a work computer, a unblocked work computer, and on my phone on its own network. Logging in solved the error and upon logging in the files immediately downloaded on the work computer and my phone.

You could word both title and post bit better. Which ironical since its about error message being cryptic.

 

So it should read like "You need to log in to download files."
