Is it worth getting used gtx 1080?

Most people say, 1080's price didn't go up, because miners didn't buy high end gpus. So technicly if I buy a used 1080 there is a high chance of getting a good GPU? I found EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC GAMING, 08G-P4-6183-KR, 8GB GDDR5X, ACX 3.0 & LED         the waranty is until 2018-09-23. Price is 475€ and I think I could ask him to give me this card a little cheaper. Is this a good deal? What if the GPU fries, could I just go to a shop where buyer bought (it is near me) and just ask to sent to evga and they would replace it or what? Every answer is very important for me, thank you.

You will need to ask the seller for original receipt if you want to RMA it most likely

EVGA will only replace it if you have the original invoice as proof of purchase.

Yeah I will do that and if the seller says there's no chance of testing, cuz I don't have a rig, what's next? Oh I sold my PC btw, so I can't bring it.

if you have no PC  then why 1080?

Can you borrow a friend's rig?

There is always a original invoice, you get that when buy in that shop and if you lose it, you can always sign in and print it again, It's saved. It's a purchase document, nothing more is required I think.

I sold half of my PC MoBo+CPU+RAM+GPU  and the rest is going to be needed for my new build, I'm keeping that. Oh the PSU is going to sell soon also. I will try to ask, I have one friend with a PC others are with laptops.

I meant you have to get that from the seller, don't forget, if you handed him the money without taking the receipt and he is gone, it's done; don't think you can call the shop on his behalf and tell them to print his invoice

I know, when I sold my PC parts, the buyer also asked for an receipt.

So, I called the seller, he sounded like a simple guy. So, he was using it for gaming and he did sli a few months ago, but he don't needs it so he just sells it. He bought it from amazon, don't know which, but the nearest and cheapest for shipping and no import taxes is amazon.de here. What are the RMA for item's bought from amazon? Thanks for answers.

EVGA has 3 year warranty (from the purchase date on the invoice) for model ends with -KR (https://www.evga.com/support/warranty/graphics-cards/)

 

So just ask him for the invoice, and if u have any problems just RMA through EVGA, they have good customer service.

Oh and make sure he un-register it first from his EVGA account.

 

If it's still registered under his account, you won't be able to register it for RMA

yup one of the best in the industry OP, shouldn't be a problem even if you have an issue.
