Best Way to Reinstall Windows

YedZed

Hey guys, I've had the distinct privilege of having to reinstall Windows several times. I am planning on doing yet another fresh install soon.

I will ask for the sake of myself and anyone else who has painstakingly set everything on their PC up, what is the best and fastest way to delete and reinstate windows to its former glory? Any tips and tricks?

Tips:

  1. Use Ninite to install tons of basic applications quickly.
  2. Once you have Windows perfect, make an image of it for future re-installations.

Still, don't put too much faith in my buying decisions. xD

What I know already: Ninite.

set up a windows install to how you like it and make an image of that (not sure on the process for that) then use that to install every time

Well, if I reinstall from that image in this case, it won't solve the issues. I'm doing a fresh install.

clonezilla, just image a fresh install with all programs installed, then when it fucks up, just re-apply that image. you can go from unallocated hard drive, to fully updated windows with all your programs installed in like 10 minutes or less

1: it would be little less than a road bump

2: Diesel does not burn like gasoline. you would have a 100 Gallon puddle that is nearly impossible to ignite.

still not sure what you mean, but clonezilla will take a "bare-metal" image of a drive, and allow to to put that image onto any other drive, as long as it is equal or larger than the source drive. it doesnt care what type of drive it is, it will image an SD card onto a tape if you tell it to
