New ram no post

New ram. Same exact stick as before. Put it in. Pc powers on but no post to monitor. Help plez?

RAM isn't guarenteed to work together. Even if it's the same model.

USUALLY it will work, but every once in a while you will recieve a polar opposite that won't work with the other one.

 

Try RMAing it.

What is your cpu? The more ram sticks you have the more unstable it can becomes, that's why extrame overclocking motherboards have few dims such as 2 for some z270 and 4 for some x99. Also did you overclock the north bridge becuase I have 16gb of ram but if I push my north bridge to far it drops to 12gb in windows.

I have never had RAM sticks refuse to work together as long as they were same generation. I've been doing this for 15 years. Reseating should have been your first action. Luckily you didn't give up as soon as @JDE would have.
