I need new IEMs

My IEMs broke today and I need new ones. I'm looking for earbuds with a similar shape to the Apple Airpods as that's pretty much the only shape that fits in my ears. Budget, let's say 40-50$

Yeah pretty true haha, the ear pods really aren't too terrible, though a bit over priced since it's apple. I don't know of many other earphones that are a similar design that are actually as good as the ear pods

Yeah. I used to get them, but they kept breaking about every 3 months (I'm pretty hard on cables, and my 6 Plus loves to bungee jump off stuff with the headphone jack), so I got a pair of Beats. They were all metal and nice cables, but I lost them somehow. Sounded good for all my rap and EDM and stuff.

IMO beats are too overpriced to be usable.Unless you can find them like 50 percent off I wound't go for them

You can't do better than the Shure SE-112s for that budget. Never met someone who couldn't fit them in at some angle using one of the three bundled ear-tips. It's the kind of design that goes over the top of your ear.

They blow most $100 IEMs out of the water. Nothing else stands a chance at $50.

Everyone says that. They may not have the best sound, but mine were made of aluminum, everything except the inline mic/buttons and the cables themselves. And I got them for $50, only $20 more than EarPods, which was my other option (but the cables are much more flimsy).

I bought my sister urBeats 2 years ago (the ceramic ones) for $60 for her birthday. They didn't last a year even though she used them 2x a month and always stored them in a hardshell case.

 

My solo2's that came for free with her MacBook Pro have ripped earcups from normal use and storage after only 2 months of usage. 

 

My Pill (received as a gift) has shitty battery life (like 50% of advertised) and distorts at half volume.

Wow. Mine were UrBeats as well (Aluminium as far as I can tell). I jumbled them around in my pocket, swung them around by the cords a couple times, slept with them in (I roll a lot, so they got pretty tangled up), and my phone did some bungee jumping with them, and they were fine. I had them for a few months, but now IDK where they went. I hope I find them eventually, though my sister is a bit of a kleptomaniac, so I may never see them again.

looks like u got lucky. Not sure if alum or ceramic ones are newer tho, but aluminum sounds more durable (although my sister's didn't physically break, the left earbud died shortly followed by the right. Physically they look brand new)

Yeah, every 3 months my EarPods left (or was it right? it was the same one every time) would get spotty and then stop working. Or just be really quiet. I went through a couple pairs before I went for the Beats, since they looked like the best quality.

yeah earpods don't sound amazing but i have a few pairs from parents' iphones. They fit OK but fall out pretty easy when I work out so that's what my Jaybirds are for.

 

The  Samsung earbuds though are a lot more comfortable with this really soft rubber lining that lets me have them in for hours and even while sleeping.

My Urbeats are fine and i used them evreyday for 3 weeks

ymmv with any product(s) but the fact that 3 separate beats products manufactured in different years all broke relatively quickly in terms of usage is annoying. And they don't even sound good to begin with...
