I done been tricked

So I was on the ASrock forums and saw this post and I was confused so I clicked on it to see what it is.AScreenshot_347.png.04a4c9264899ac5f1cec51e1871ce033.png

And it was a link, a bad link. It looked like it was a grabify link or something of the sorts cause when I clicked on it it just didnt load. If it was a grabify they can really only ddos right? And it coulkdnt have downloaded anything without me seeing right?

Now I know to open those links in opera lol

So it's true that some people get a static IP from their ISP by default? O_o

At least in most of the US, IP addresses are usually bound to the MAC of the modem/router with pretty long lease times.

I've had the same IP address for years :)

This is a very serious matter. What you are going to have to do is shoot your PC with a gun of your choice, put a grenade in it for safety so it can absorb the bullets and then call Linus to drop the PC. Repeat with Router/Modem.

xD

I'm roughly the same.

I keep the same IP for around 2-3 months.

If I want a static one then it will cost me around the same price as my whole internet package per month...

It's not a race to the bottom.
