I'm looking to buy a gaming laptop that I can use in college.

My degree is gonna be programming.

Here's what I want..

I want the absolute best battery life I can get when I'm not trying to play crysis 3 at 4k on ultra settings..  It has to last hopefully sunrise to sunset (it wouldn't stay powered on for that long, of be turning it off or sleep mode when I needed to), I won't be gaming on it unless a power source was nearby so basically I want good battery life when its doing web browsing, class work, programming, etc etc.

I don't want a mobile gpu (nvidia gtx 970m as an example) I want to get a desktop gpu if possible (1050,1060,1070,1080, etc etc ). I don't want a mobile intel processor (2 cores 4 threads)

As far as screen goes, I don't care if its 4k or FHD.

And my budget would be AT MOST maybe 1000-1500$$ but I want to spend as less as possible..

I know I'm asking for the perfect gaming laptop but there has to be something out there

The only thing that really comes to mind as a good deal right now would be the Helios 300 but that doesn't have the best battery life in the world.

It does have a i7-7700HQ which is technically a mobile CPU but it does have 4c/8t and does 3.8 GHz turbo which is perfectly fine. Also comes with a GTX 1060 6GB. Here's the link if you're fine with charging it up a little through the day https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Predator-Helios-GeForce-G3-571-77QK/dp/B06Y4GZS9C/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

You want it all, but you only got the budget for some of it.

You might be able to get the EUROCOM Tornado F5 with last gen desktop i7 that you can't OC and then upgrade the GPU to a GTX 1060, but you are only getting about 3-3½ hours of battery life and there is no way in hell you are running Crysis 3 at 4k ultra settings on a 1060 that you would need to OC to get on par with a desktop 1060, hell a desktop GTX 1080FE cannot do that.

Also a 7700HQ is also a mobile CPU, but it has 4cores and 8 threads, plus the Pascal cards you see in gaming laptops are not clocked as high as the desktop counterpart, but ofc with some laptops you can OC them up to be on par with desktop counterparts.

You seems like you expect way too much from what we have today and there is no way in hell that you can get what you want with 1500$. Somebody has to tell you the truth.
