Fine, skip the bios update. go into bios and set everything to default and save.

Okay then...

Download and run Microsoft Windows 10 download tool. Now here are two options to try out.

Option 1:

Select USB and proceed to download the OS, when it's done it will prompt for USB flash drive. Plug in flash drive and the setup wizard, will create a official one for you that will work with both UEFI and legacy bios systems.

Option 2:

Download the ISO type of the OS and mount the ISO image.

Plug in USB drive and open cmd with admin

type in the following commands, follow by enter key

diskpart

list disk

select disk #

clean

create partition primary

format fs=ntfs quick

select partition 1

assign letter = $

active

exit

Close off CMD. Now go to the mounted ISO image and copy everything from that into the USB flash drive. When done, restart and you'll be able to boot from it to install the OS. This will only work with boot drives smaller than 2TB because it will not format it as GPT which is need for HDD larger than 2TB.

I see you tried rufus, therefore you must have the win10 iso downloaded already? Then do option 2 first.

# = the usb flash drive you want to use for the setup file

$ = any free drive letter from your computer

Also go into bios and reset everything back to defaults and save.

Run option 2, exactly as it says. The win10 iso has to be from microsoft. If it is, then mount that and than copy the contents that's inside to the USB flash drive.

Yes but my laptop can only support 2.5" and the drive I have is 3.5" and I tried taking apart my laptop and it was ridiculously hard

Ifixit doesn't have anything on my laptop

I freaking had it that it showed the windows 7 loading thing but then it went back to system recovery options twice now

Why? You can create the windows usb straight from your laptop.

Your not installing into your laptop. You're using your laptop to help you download the win10 iso then create the usb via option 2 and then use the usb to install win10 to that used motherboard.
