im going to build a new system and im not sure about what i want to do with my fan config im going to have a swiftech h220 so for that im going to use corsair sp 120's and im going to undervolt them with a fan controller and yes i know noctua's may be better but they dont fit my color scheme which is black and red. by the way im using a 750d, i was going to buy a few more fans for the case probably two intake and one exhaust and i was going to use corsair AF series for that and i would undervolt them to just so they are quieter. any advice or tips for me?

I think your plan sounds good :)

I wouldn't use Corsair fans myself because I think they're quite loud, even undervolted.

Apart from that I don't think there's any specific advice or help I can offer.

Good luck! :)

Corsair AF's may make a ticking noise if you undervolt them. Some AF's I've used have been fine and others have been terrible.

I thought that this was only when using Corsair Link, and was fixed with a firmware update?

I've never used Corsair Link and still had this issue.

It's common for ticking to occur with certain types of fan controllers and fans. But with the Corsairs I've had them tick when hooked up to motherboards, fan controllers and directly to a PSU with a 7v resistor in there. So I've just came to the conclusion that they aren't good fans and stopped using them

Fair enough, I stand corrected :)
