no.

dual core CPU with no hyperthreading won't even launch some games, like far cry.

go with a G4560 with the stock cooler, maybe a non-exploding PSU, and you're golden.

- MUCH better CPU
- Significantly better GPU
- PSU that won't explode
- only slightly more expensive, which can actually go under budget if you replace the 1050Ti with an RX 560, GTX 1050, RX 460, etc.

For such a low-budget build, you could also go used. picking up a used 970, or one of the cheap RX 480s that are going to be on the used market soon will give a huge performance boost for no extra cost if you're willing to buy used.

Not as much as you think.  The G3258 will stutter on some games, such as GTA V (for example).  It's not as good as it once was.  Either wait for Ryzen 3 or get the Pentium G4560, if you can still find it.

people said what couldn't be done, a $400 low end gaming rig? It's not a Xbone or ps4 refresh killer or anything, but I'd recommend this psu https://pcpartpicker.com/product/nB3RsY/seasonic-power-supply-s12ii620bronze  and the 4560 like other people said, just make sure your mobo has a way to update the bios without a cpu or comes with one that will work with the 4560

LOL dont even bother with Pentium CPU

just buy a used aka refurbished pc from Bestbuy, you will get an i5 4th gen for cheaper then $450 quoted above.

Then you can put that saved money towards a decent gpu card for your games.

I dont know why people bother building a pc with Pentium, what a fucking waste of time and money.

4th gen is still good mate.

Remember, some things you don't want to cheap out on if you wanna be like this guy

now,  you don't have to go all out. Any well-built modern motherboard should do (including dell), CPUs can be upgraded, same with RAM, GPUs, but one thing you should not cheap out on is your PSU, which should last you through multiple computer builds (rocking my 2010 PSU still on my 2016 PC) and cases, while you can pretty much get any old beige-box, make sure the air flow is ok enough (as well as compatible with your form factor), since most GPUs and CPUs have sufficient cooling already. You don't need some fancy RGB tempered glass since that does nothing to improve cooling (in fact, tempered glass blocks a potential hole for side cooling and adds weight, which sacrifices performance for style)
