running 6-8 monitors

hey guys,

is running 6-8 monitors possible? not for gaming but can you get that many ports on a card?

If you had an SLI/dual card setup, yes. They generally have 4 ports each, at least the higher end ones.

but dont the second cards ports disable whan sli is enabled?

If it is through a single graphics card then I do not believe so, I have not even been able to find a card that has more than two of the same port, so it may be pretty hard

one displayport port can support up to 4 monitors at 1080p by daisy chaining but you need a card that supports this feature

The Aorus cards have 6 ports, but I think Nvidia only supports 4 displays at a time

yeah make sure you check the card limitations

you also need monitors that support MST (multi stream transport) for the daisy chaining to actually work
