Ok

So my initial problem was an old game not working on windows 10 that worked just fine on windows vista, 7 and 8.1. I have been trying to find a solution but with no luck. Its a directx 9 game. So lets just leave that there.

Yesterday I got my old pc with a core 2 duo and a 8600gt up and running, but it too had windows 10. So i got a windows 8.1 iso from microsofts page made a bootable drive and installed it on my old pc because why not.

Everything worked prefectly up until i downloaded the nvidia driver. After that my pc would only boot in safe mode. I deleted the driver, but even then i was still getting bsods (system service exception) every time i tried to boot.

I then made a fresh install of windows 8.1 and tried downloading geforce experience and get drivers through it but then gf experience wouldnt download. I got an error message saying "please go to a desktop browser to download geforce experience client". I tried looking for solutions for that but all i got was to go into chrome and press reboot in desktop mode. For some reason i dont have that option in chrome.

So if anybody knows a solution to any of these things i would be really happy. Preferably a solution to make the game work on windows 10 but anything would be great.

Couldn't you just say which game it is exactly? It would help out.
